Tailoring Your Experience

To craft an itinerary that aligns with your desires, we request that you complete our detailed questionnaire, considering all members of your party. This information allows us to design an extraordinary, unique journey tailored to your preferences

  Days Prior to Departure Percentage of Total Invoiced Price Forfeited and Payable to Uncles Sam's
  Planning Deposit A non-refundable deposit is required to initiate the planning process.
  Booking Deposit A 50% non-refundable deposit is due upon approval of the itinerary to secure bookings.
  Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 90 days before departure.
  Late Bookings: For bookings made less than 90 days before departure, full payment is required before the final itinerary is delivered.
  Cancellation Policy Cancellations received within:
  Over 91 days prior: Deposit forfeited.
  61–90 days: 60% of total price forfeited.
  31–60 days: 75% of total price forfeited.
  30 days or less: 100% of total price forfeited.

Uncles Sam's is not obligated to refund any deposits to clients in the event travel restrictions are imposed by any government that would impact a client’s ability to travel to or from Japan, including any quarantines that may be required in Japan or a client’s country of origin.

Agency Role and Liability
We act as an agent for various independent suppliers providing accommodations, transportation, sightseeing, activities, and other services connected with your tour. These services are subject to the terms and conditions of those suppliers. We accept no liability for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or other incident caused by the negligence or default of any supplier.
Force Majeure
We are not responsible for losses, injury, damages, or expenses due to sickness (including epidemics and pandemics), weather, strikes, hostilities, wars, terrorist acts, acts of nature, local laws, or other such causes.
Local Laws and Regulations
All services and accommodations are subject to the laws and regulations of Costa Rica.
Baggage and Personal Effects
We are not responsible for any baggage or personal effects of any individual participating in the tours/trips arranged by us.Travelers are responsible for purchasing a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover expenses associated with the loss of luggage or personal effects.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover potential risks, including trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and loss of personal belongings.

  • Terms and Conditions

    1.0 Basis of Contract
    1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply exclusively to all travel services, packages, and related arrangements (“Travel Arrangements”) provided by Uncle Sam’s Costa Rica Luxury Travels (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the Client (“you”, “the Client”). Any variation must be expressly agreed in writing by us.
    1.2 Payment of any deposit or service charge by the Client constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
    1.3 Pricing reflects the bespoke nature of each journey and typically includes luxury accommodations, private ground transportation, exclusive experiences, expert guides, entrance fees, taxes, and duties. International airfare, travel insurance, gratuities, and personal expenses (e.g., excess baggage charges) are not included. All prices are subject to availability and are sold as complete packages—itemized breakdowns are not provided.
    2.0 Deposits, Payments & Cancellation
    2.1 We may require a nominal, non-refundable planning fee (applied toward the total cost) to develop a full journey proposal.
    2.2 Upon approval of the bespoke itinerary, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required before bookings are confirmed. If booking occurs 90 days or fewer before departure, full payment (100%) is required upfront.
    2.3 The remaining balance is due no later than 90 days before your Departure Date. For bookings made within this window, full payment must be received before final itinerary delivery. Failure to remit payment timely may result in cancellation of your trip and forfeiture of payments made.
    2.4 Cancellation penalties apply based on when written notice is received as follows:
    More than 90 days before departure: Deposit forfeited
    61–90 days before departure: 60% of total trip cost forfeited
    31–60 days before departure: 75% forfeited
    30 days or fewer before departure: 100% forfeited
    2.5 If governmental travel restrictions (e.g., quarantines or advisories) affect your trip, we are not obliged to refund deposits. However, we will permit you to reschedule your journey—deposit may be applied to a trip occurring within 12 months of the original departure date. Additional costs due to rate changes or vendor penalties may apply, especially with short-notice rescheduling.
    3.0 Liability & Responsibilities
    3.1 Uncle Sam’s Costa Rica Luxury Travels acts solely as an agent for our independent suppliers (hotels, excursion operators, transport providers, guides, etc.). We assume no liability for any acts, omissions, negligence, delays, injuries, losses, or expenses caused by these third parties.
    3.2 We accept no liability for loss, damages, injury, or expense due to illness (including epidemics or pandemics), weather, strikes, acts of nature, terrorism, war, civil unrest, local laws, or other causes beyond our control (“force majeure”). Your journey is subject to local conditions and regulations.
    3.3 All warranties, representations, or implied guarantees not expressly included in these Terms are disclaimed.
    3.4 It is your responsibility to ensure you possess valid passports, visas, permits, and meet all health requirements for travel to or within Costa Rica.
    3.5 If you have any health conditions or special needs that may affect your trip, you must notify us at the time of booking to allow us to make appropriate arrangements.
    3.6 We strongly recommend securing comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, baggage loss, or other unforeseen events.
    4.0 Notices
    4.1 All cancellation or amendment notices must be in writing—sent via email, pre-paid mail, or fax. Notices are considered received when:
    Delivered by hand: at delivery;
    Mailed: upon receipt or within 48 hours of posting;
    By fax: when transmission is confirmed;
    By email: at time of sending.
    5.0 Governing Law
    5.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Costa Rica. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Costa Rica.
    6.0 Privacy
    6.1 We collect personal information solely for trip planning and delivery—receipt inquiries, customization, operations, and marketing of our services. Your information may be shared with suppliers or government authorities as necessary to fulfill travel arrangements.
    6.2 We will not disclose your personal information to third parties beyond these purposes without your consent, except as required by law.
    7.0 Definitions
    Client: The person(s) or business entity booking with us—these Terms bind all individuals jointly and severally.
    Departure Date: The scheduled date when your journey begins.
    Travel Arrangements: The entirety of services, accommodations, transport, and experiences arranged by us.
    Suppliers: Third-party entities providing accommodations, guiding, transport, and other services.

Day 1: Arrival in Paradise
Welcome to Costa Rica’s Pacific Jewel

Upon landing in Liberia, a scenic transfer takes you to Casa Chameleon, a luxurious eco-boutique resort perched above Las Catalinas. Your ocean-view suite features a private plunge pool, panoramic views, and a complimentary bottle of champagne to start your week in style. Relax with sunset views, toast to new memories, and ease into the serenity of Costa Rica.

Day 2: Coastal Flavors and Beachfront Exploration
Explore Las Catalinas & Learn to Cook with a Local Chef

Start your day with fresh fruit and Costa Rican coffee on your terrace. Then, head out to explore the walkable beach town of Las Catalinas, where car-free streets lead to turquoise waters, artisan shops, and beachfront cafes. In the evening, return to Casa Chameleon for a private cooking class. Learn traditional Costa Rican recipes from a local chef and enjoy your creation in an open-air setting.

Day 3: Tamarindo + Sunset Cruise
Vibes, Views, and the Open Sea

Your private driver takes you to Tamarindo, a vibrant surf town full of energy and character. Wander through shops and boutiques or relax on the beach. In the afternoon, board a Sunset Catamaran Cruise: enjoy music, open bar, snorkeling, and golden-hour views as you sail back toward the coast. Dine in one of Tamarindo’s acclaimed restaurants before returning to Casa Chameleon.

Day 4: From Las Catalinas to Santa Teresa
From Ocean Views to Jungle Bliss

Say farewell to Las Catalinas and journey south along the coast to Santa Teresa. Check in at Laloon Suites, where jungle-chic villas overlook Playa Carmen. Your villa features a private pool surrounded by forest—ideal for unwinding before heading to Katana’s, a signature restaurant known for open-air dining and Asian fusion cuisine under the stars.

Day 5: Waterfalls + Massage + Nightlife

Gear up for an ATV ride through backroads and jungle trails on your way to Montezuma Waterfalls. Hike, swim, and take in the serene power of nature.
